Being reasonably new to TFF I naively "ASSUMED" that buying/trading here would be a pleasant and honest process. Well my first experience was/is absolute ROBBERY!

BEWARE of SALTWATER_ASSISSIN out of Cypress, TX.

On the 15th I agreed to purchase Lucky Craft lures from him. I PM'd him and he replied and we agreed to a paypal transaction. He sent me a Paypal payment request after which I sent him the funds and my shipping address.

That is the last time I've had any contact from saltwater_assassin, I PM'd him on the 17th inquiring if he received the paypal payment and how to expect shipment.

I again PM'd him on the 21st requesting info and as of today the 24th of October I still have no response, no baits, and no money back from saltwater_assassin.

Needless to say I am disappointed and saddened that there are crooks out there degrading the reputation and good name of the forum.

Lesson learned! Now I'll watch and wait to see him on the forum again.........

Thankfully you used PayPal...you can file a complaint and get your money back. I did that with an HDS10 out of Florida, got every dime back. Its sad that you are forced to resort to these means, but you are covered on the money.

I bought an HDS-12 from David at shut up and fish and I was really pleased! I will buy all my electronics from him in the future.

Don't use BSG wraps. If you want and over priced cheap wrap that won't stay on you boat, then go to BSG....my wrap came off my boat twice and Skip, the owner, blamed me. He even got pissed off at me and cursed at me over the phone, because I told him my wrap was coming off again. I don't see how a guy like Skip stays in business....

An update regarding my negative comments about saltwater_assassin.
He had an emergency away from home and contacted me upon his return. I have received the baits as agreed on and they are as nice as he stated in his original ad.
As we say, "STUFF" Happens!!! It's all straight now and I'm happy. Just want to make sure his reputation is intact once again.
