That is the hook they suggested for my frogs. Works well so far.

Lots of different size plastics, require several different hooks. I use Owner and Gamakatsu in a variety of styles and sizes, to match the bait used.

Something to be said for tried and true " true turn" hooks. All my grandfather used, my uncle used, and I used for a long time. I've tried others but still keep truturn hooks. Always hooks in the upper corner on hookset.

I didn't even know that worm hooks were made out of plastic. To be serious, though - I've had fish straighten Tru-Turns, and now use TroKars. They're as strong as they are sharp.

Seems like there are as many opinion as there are hooks. I don't have an opinion but I will offer this tidbit. Walmart merchandises quick selling merchandise. I was hook hunting the other day and noticed that all the worm hooks offered were Gamakatsu EWG

Matzuo sickles catch any fish that touches them. I don't use anything else since I gave these a try on clearance in a rush. Used to use Gamakatsu, but use these exclusively now. Haven't had anyone touch one who didn't immediately go "WOW those are sharp, what are they?!" Needle point from hell, and they always penetrate fully to the sickle bend on set, drastic increase on hook up as well as landing.

Mustad has the strongest point of any hook out there.
