Fished fork for the first time last year, may have spent 8-10 days out there without any overs. Closest was around 22.5" 7lber with multiple other decent slot fish. Determined to get the elusive DD over within the next year. Unfortunately dont own a boat so i wont get too many chances to fish out there

I generally get 2 or 3 a year. Have had 4 this year.

That's a good question. The numbers of 6-9 lb under fish on Fork has always been what has set that lake apart in my opinion. I can't even count the number of 23 3/4-7/8" fish I've been lucky enough to boat the last three years there. I've never fished Falcon though, sure sounds like it can (or could) compete with that group of fish.

Since I bought a boat and got back into fishing 3 years ago after being boatless for 10 years, here's some estimated numbers of >24" fish.

25 days on Fork (1) 25.5" 10.5 lb
10 days on Palestine (1) 25" fish heavy 10 and (1) 24" fish 9ish, same day in January
10 days on Ft. Gibson (1) 26" fish around 7-8 lbs
5 days on Tawakoni (1) 24"ish fish 9 lbs

Looks like for me, Palestine and Tawakoni tie for over 24" fish per day. I think Fork would catch up though if I got to spend more time there.

Did they tell you when coming back that dynamite is not allowed?

I was absent that day grin

+1 on Ozzy's post, when I was out there 80-100 days a year. Getting one in competition is a bonus for sure, only done that 4-times with the 16-24" slot.

I really don't like the way Fork fishes right now, everything changed in 2011, grass died off(where I like to fish), drought, and damn sandbass..
From 2005-2010 I thought I was in the promised land, I couldn't believe how good it was..jm2c's and I have a house there...
