The lake is serving its purpose. I'm just thankful we have access to recreational use through ramps built early on. There's no conspiracy against the people who fish the lake. We just need lots of rain.

We have a water supply lake near Des Moines that is loaded with bass. Not allowed to put a boat on it though. Just something to think about. Whether it's 2 feet high or 10' low, I have always loved fishing Lake Fork.

we knew this when we bought here 25 years ago and have no problem at all with pulling water out of the lake,we knew it was coming. However, folks just wondering and going to pull boats out. Most of us along here have about 5-6 inches in our outside slips. The chart looks good, i will pass onto neighbors. thanks again Bruce for letting everybody know.

Thank goodness we allow ourselves to drink a little gas & oil in Texas by allowing boats on our lakes unlike a lot of water storage resevoirs in other states! :-) :-(

Funny thing is back in the early to mid 2000's people were complaining about too much rain and water in the early spring and the lake being mucked up.
The world has changed in many ways and the influx of out of state people that have moved into Texas, along with the lack of rain the past 3 years, has caused some water issues.
The lake has been around this level going into November the past few years, so I think we will make it through this year as well...

Fessie, thanks for the clarification... I thought it was Forkie... I have a picture I took of it from a month or so ago.

LAKE FORK http://waterdatafortexas.org/reservoirs/individual/forkNOTE Darkest Line =2014: Rates of typical Summer/level declines (Median Line), as compared with 2014, nothing seems very unusual thru about mid Aug other than the lake started 2014 year low and remained lower than typical. Late Fall (Oct) though appears to not be good so far. Remainder of year looking to decline similar, but perhaps even more quickly than in 2012 which was a very bad Fall for runoff rains.

How low will Lake Fork have to go before you can not find a ramp to use?
