Nope to the smoke big yes to the chew. I used to smoke in the 90's but quit then made the stupid decision to pick up the chew. Seems much harder for me to quit chew than the cigs because I usually have one in all day instead of just one cig every hour or so. Made it for a few months without a chew but it was hell the whole time, cravings never stopped! Grizzly got it's claws in me big time. Big thing for me is my little one sees me do it and is always asking what it is. I don't know what to tell him, don't want him doin the stuff when he gets older.

I smoked for over thirty years and quit cold turkey almost two years ago. Best choice I ever made but one of the toughest things I've ever done.

I smoked for about 8 years and quit 3 years ago.I'm in the military and between pt and a designated smoking area on base it became a 2 mile hike to smoke a cigarette in the 105 degree heat or 14 degree cold.... With that being said I still enjoy a good smoke here and there. Just not addicted anymore

Understand that. Had a CO (Skipper-USN) who flat told us, "I don't care if you have to get in a skiff and row out to smoke, you will NOT smoke here!" Well, that lasted for a little while but was overruled. ?? Someone telephoned friend/Congressman, whoever. He was a VERY unhappy Camper for quite a while and made life H_ !! for us If you can, I encourage you to stop. It's not a healthy or in any way becoming habit. Hard to break and harder to not start again. God Bless I smoked for about 8 years and quit 3 years ago.I'm in the military and between pt and a designated smoking area on base it became a 2 mile hike to smoke a cigarette in the 105 degree heat or 14 degree cold.... Bas Boat Saver removes dip stains from the sides of my boat. Makes it look like I'm "tobacco free"! That count as a no? :-)

Been using a vape pen for 4 months. Don't miss the cigarettes at all, but it will be hard to give up the vape pen.
I actually enjoy the vape pen more than smoking. Bummed a smoke from a buddy on the golf course about 2 months after I quit, didn't enjoy it at all.
I was going through a 15mL bottle of vape juice every week and I'm now stretching that bottle to 3 weeks.
So I've smoked 1 cigarette in 4 1/2 months. WILL NEVER smoke again.

Growing up Cowboy.... Tobacco was a part of life. I did not last with the smoking but chewed and or dipped until I was about 40 after I got on the fire dept. Quit cold turkey one day....For the next 30 days it was pure hell..Thought my wife and kid might leave me... I was a little edgy... BEST thing I ever did.. I can't stand the smell of Snuff now.

Cigars, yes. A cigar and fishing after work is the perfect way to unwind.

I had a heart attack last year at the age of 40. Scared me to death. I smoked from 18 to 40 at least a pack a day. Nov 12th last year I had a heart attack and have not had a cigarette since. I used the E-cig or like I called it the puffer. You can buy different levels of nicotine from 24, 18, 12, 6, and 0% I gradually decreased the level of nicotine and now I am nicotine free since June of this year. Super easy way to quit smoking and I highly encourage you guys that want to quit to try it. If you have questions PM me and I'll help you quit.
 Current Cylinder Index is 42.

No! I smoked for 50 years. 5 years ago we got a walmart gas bill, $157 for gas, $275 for smokes. Me and the wife gave them up. I still miss them when I am fishing.

No, I quit about 25 yrs ago. I don't think anyone argues that it is not bad for your health, and there are a whole of fish out there that I haven't caught yet.

Yep, and unfortunately when I run out of smokes on the water, the fishing is over.

I've always been disgusted by it, but it amazes me how many young people that still smoke, and just about ever guide I've ever been with smokes like a stack.. I don't understand smoking for my generation. Everyone knows it's terrible for you. Doesn't smell good and doesn't make you any more attractive. I understand all you older smokers who have been smoking a while. But the amount of college kids I see smoking amazes me. I have quite a few friends that smoke and just don't understand why they started. Good to see so many fellow fisherman quitting and or try to quit. You don't wanna be lying on your Seth bed thinking man if I hadn't of smoked so many cigs I could of caught x amount more fish and spent more time with my loved ones.
