Does anyone have a plan for how all of these briskets, pork shoulders, ribs and dove breasts will be worked into meals? I mean it sounds to me like we have enough stuff coming for several meals. I was asked that question by renewbie Tom and I told him i didn't have a clue.

Seems like I worry more about food than tuna ....

Has anyone heard a report from last weekend? I think the Bluefin went out and had a good trip but I'm not sure which rig they went to.

The Cat went out Friday with only 12 people. They got 27 YFT, some blackfins and some do-dos.

Not too bad considering it was likely a pretty rag tag bunch that didn't have near the firepower or skills we have going this week ....

Msg'ed with a fisherman who went out on the Bluefin last weekend. They went out to BV/Nansen and he told me that he's never seen so many adult dorado at the floaters. He told me schools of hundreds, think they caught 60. Also decent YF and BF bite. Said the YF were on the upcurrent side.

Wish I was going out with yall. My 'little' brother David and his daughter Tiffany will be making it and it's their fish tuna trip. Show them some love guys.

With the presence of so many dodos at the floaters, I'd bet on marlin and some bigger YF showing up.

Last year in October I made my best YF trip to Perdido ever. Poppers ruled and we limited out. I think I caught 10 or 12 before I laid my rod down. One guy kept popping and must have caught 15 or 18. All the action was on the up current side of the platform. Go get em. Tight lines.

Guys, some bad news- due to logistical situations beyond our control, Charlie is out; his plane wont land @ DFW 'till after we're long-gone.
