Texas Farm Bureau has been great for me in all areas. I can beat the auto prices but the whole cost of all of it I can not and would lose my discount if I split it up.

Everything i own is with allstate, I called state farm to just get a quote on a new boat i had just bought, they wouldnt insure the boat because i had gotten a ticket 6 months prior...and i told them i tournament fished, and they wouldnt cover me either. i stuck with allstate, had a claim last yr for almost 7k, i had a check in the mail 4 days later. My rates havent gone up at all either.

You do not have to wait till policy anniversary to change. You can cancel policy anytime you want and the companies are required to reimburse any premiums that have been paid but not used by the carrier...

I have never had to make a claim on my State Farm boat policy, but I am starting to get frustrated with their ever increasing home insurance rates (which I have never had a claim on). The only concern I have is I have heard so many horror stories when it comes to making boat insurance claims with other companies.

Direct quotes from my past two agents. "if you have the same provider for more than 5 years chances are you could get more for less by switching"

Never again! Used to be with them as well until they canceled my fathers homeowners after one claim even though he's been cutting them a check for 30+ years.

I would ditch them too before they decide they've had enough of your money and cancel your policy.

I would never insure with State Farm again. They stuck it to me in the 80's on an non-insured motorist accident that totaled a vehicle I had for three day. Claimed 1/2 on non-insured motorist and 1/2 on collision. Then dropped me. Then I couldn't get good insurance because of the collision claim. Ann Richards changed the laws in the late 80's where they can't do this. Screw me once shame on you, screw me twice shame on me. Never again!!!!!

Get hold of Bob Luellen from World Wide. He is on here. I have his numbers also if you can't find him. He is a Marine Specialist. Most knowledgeable person I have dealt with on boat insurance.

I was dropped last month for my first and only claim!!!

I've had State Farm for several years and gone through 3-4 agents. They refused to honor a damage claim on my RV awning, even though it was factory installed original equipment, saying I needed a separate rider to cover it. I asked if I needed a rider to cover the bumper on my truck. No answer from them on that one. As soon a a couple of minor bumps go away, I'm dropping them like a hot potato. I guess they have all the business they want.

I had them for 26 years never a claim, house got broke into, had maybe 800 dollars worth of stuff stole and door damage they paid like $1500. I didn't get dropped but man the rates went up so high I dropped them.
Right now my cars are with Geico, had 2 claims with no problem's
and my boat is with seaworthy never had a claim and 2008 Triton 16SS cost 129.00 a year
Im shopping home insurance as we speak
