I haven't seen many big fish come out of lake waco recently.. but i know they're in there. In our club tourney last saturday, first place was taken by one 6lb fish. I had around 12 largemouth and not one keeper. I don't know what needs to happen for that lake to get better but something needs to drastically change

We need hydrilla!!!!!!! coach

Waco was scary good 5 to 6 years ago. Definitely on the decline. Lots of factors that were all mentioned above. Another factor is the size of the lake. It's a small lake with lots of pressure

it has been on the decline.. Although the lake level rose significantly this year and maybe that will make for better fishing starting next spring.

It would help to implement a slot! ^^

I believe all these non keepers people are catching are from the 500,000 fingerlings they stocked earlier this year. I know the lake has a ton of fish in it from what I've seen this spring. I went into several creeks and you could see 2-5 pound fish swimming everywhere but u could barley get a bite. I think pressure is hurting the lake
I've heard there is hydrila growing again

I also agree that pressure has some thing to do with it. Back in the spring there was a tournament every Sat. and Sun. , and one a few day's there were two or three clubs out there. I talked to people from a club in Austin then less than an 30 min. late some one from Dallas.

I would agree with the fishing pressure. Hog Creek is starting to look like I-35.

Yeah there has been quite a bit of pressure.. But I did manage to put together a little jig bite yesterday evening which was a little different than what I'm used to on that lake.
