Fished two local spots the other day and the bite was "AWESOME" ! Got the Rios at day break. Fish were in shallow water 2 to 3 feet deep. Worms and Berkley Trout Worms-natural color were the baits of choice. Bottom techniques were used. Caught about 15 fish in three hours. Fish were released to fight again. Left em biting. I then caught the late afternoon/early evening bite on Lake Dunlap. The bite was "GOOD"! Caught about 20 nice fryer Gills in the 7 to 8 inch range. Also caught a six pound Channel Cat and a two pound Bass. All fish were caught on worms using a float technique. Fish were in 7 to 10 feet of water holding next to docks. All fish were released with the exception of eight which ended up in the frying pan. Catching Rios in the morning and Gills in the early evening. It just don't get any better! fish

We had 2 days of rain last week - 6.48 inches. Nice for Paris, but still need more.

Awesome day Chuck!!!

I read that the bigger Rios normally stay within about 15 feet of the shoreline. Is that what you have experienced?

Thanks Jammie for the reply! cheers Yes Sir. Rios usually stay pretty close to the shore line. 15 feet is usually the maximum. hmmm I have caught a lot of em within inches of the shoreline. hooked
