It is time for another open tournament. It will be launching out of Lake Palestine Resort again. Hours will be 5:30 am to 12:00 pm. $60 per boat ($50 for stringer and $10 for BB). We will be at the ramp to sign teams up about 4:45 am. This is a "good old boys tournament", so only rules are below.

Cannot start fishing until 5:30 (can leave once signed up)
Trailering is allowed (I will have forms for you to carry with you)
Stop fishing at 12:00 (scales close at 12:30 sharp)
All fish must be 14 inches
short fish is a DQ

1-7 teams 1 place
8-14 teams 2 places
15-21 teams 3 places
22-28 teams 4 places
29-35 teams 5 places

If I need more than that I am in trouble but will figure it out. LOL

The forms you need for trailering is due to the new law starting July 1st (just heard about it). You have to drain boat and livewell at ramp. You need this form stating you are fishing a tournament so you will not get fined.

When are you going to have one on Tyler? Wasn't any better at Palestine.

Palestine tournament had its own thread advertising it and only had 3 more boats. Only took 12 lbs to win. Took more than that at Tyler.

I plan to do more on both Lakes. I have done 2 Tyler and this will be the second Palestine. I plan to hop back and forth. Be patient. I like both lakes.

If it fishes anything like it did a week ago it will take a lot more this time.

I'd like to thank the 14 teams that fished today. Tom was right tit took more to win this week. The top 2 teams were confused anout the number of fish that they could have, but it did not seem to matter in the end. It was a five fish stringer tournament, but the top 2 teams only brought in 3 fish each. Results are:

1st Franky Burkett and Eric Potkotter with 20.14 (again only 3 fish...wow) $525 and they also had BB at 7.90 $140
2nd Dalton and Allen with 15.26 $175
3rd Billy Henry and Claude Dowdy with 13.82
