Yea it does, kinda gets annoying lol
Cool thanks Txcat You know what else is annoying? People with not very many posts asking for people's fishing spots that they put in the time and effort to find themselves. Yup pretty annoying. Because God forbid more than one person fish a given location from time to time. I bet if someone else fishes in one of your favorite spots that you may never catch another fish again! Pathetic that 99% of the people on here think that a spot they caught fish at on a pond, creek, river, lake, etc., is some type of Mission Impossible, covert operation, and nobody else can know that there's a fish in that area! Instead of realizing that the vast majority of us aren't pro anglers looking to cash in on a "secret spot" and rather just a bunch of guys and girls looking for fishing spots to go out and have a good time catching a few bass...everyone acts like they've been doing scientific research projects on the local ponds and have a code-red, top secret location and lure combo that makes them the cool kid on TFF cause only they get to post pics on the internet from that "secret location"! Pretty much every spot I fish I've learned about on this site. From my point of view people are willing to help with all kinds of information on spots, techniques, whatever.

Fort Worth Trinity River Spots: Right behind the "Tandy Center" in down town FW. Also, cross the bridge and walk to the right and fish the first spillway. Rockwood Park. Fish the river near the golf course. University Park, across from the zoo. Revamped recently and very nice areas to fish on the bank. Catch a monster, they're there.

I don't know anything about the Trinity but I would help you out if I did. I don't think having a certain # of posts qualifies anyone for anything. Everyone has to start somewhere in all walks of life. But at the same time I look at just about everything on here so just because your post gets a lot of views and no one posts it doesn't mean that they are holding out on you. Some of us are just curious. If I catch fish somewhere and don't post the spot just PM me if you want to know where its at I'll tell you.

I'm shocked. Nathan has always been very friendly to newbies and informational as well. From what I can remember back when I was a newbie at least... Maybe frustration has set in. I wouldn't take it personal. There have been some people that chose to abuse locations shared with them. All in all, I don't see any good from withholding public fishing info from someone looking to partake in our wonderful sport though. If we applied the understanding that everyone only possessed knowledge obtained from their own personal research and experimentation, where would we be as a society? Not trying to be anyone's parent or conscience... Just a little food for thought. As for the OP, I would ask in the catfish section. It may also help to look for someone posting that is from your area and sending them a personal message. I've seemed to experience more positive feedback when taking a personal approach. If ever in Denton area, I can be of more assistance. lol good luck!

You also have to take into consideration that there are some spots that we (Myself included) dedicated a ton of time to fish and figure out what patterns work the best. There's a few ponds close to my house that I've fished for years and I'm just now getting a grip on what they want through the years. DO you really think that I'm just going to tell every random person what took me a really long time to figure out? I don't mind helping and If you look back at some of my posts and most of the people on here, we all help out. Not sure what this is all about, but coming off with an attitude isn't going to get you any further either. Just sayin, if you want help ask. Don't complain when you don't get the exact answer that you're looking for. Some of us like myself never fish the Trinity so I am of no use on that topic and would read the post, but not post on it.

WOW really?? Hell I'm new to the Forum, doesn't mean I'm new to DFW or Fishing....pretty sure the name of the Forum says Texas Fishing Forum: The best place in Texas to talk fishing. Pretty rude of you to say that...you've been nice to me on here so I will give you some slack if you are having a bad day but damn son.

Nice spot over on downtown Ft. Worth. Park on Houston dead end side. Nice fish in that fork area. Catch some gills and throw them for bait.

I would say under the bridge off university behind the Ole South Pancake place. My dad and I used to catch some 10 lbers off live minnows (good size bass too). But when they started the construction of the new bridges the fishing has gone way down. I think because they lowered the flow of water over the spill way all the trash just piles up there.
