I'm no Granbury expert, but it's one of the toughest Texas lakes I have fished. I spent about 4 days there several years ago, a couple of prefishing days and a two day team tournament. With about an hour to go on day two I caught a keeper spot. Otherwise our boat got skunked. Between six of us we may have weighed six keepers in two days. Granted, we weren't locals and didn't know the lake before we got there, but...

Brother lives on the lake and although not a fisherman, says the lake is subject to algae blooms and fisherman are always complaining.

One of my favorite spring-time lakes to fish. I've been out on several occasions and caught 25lb sacks. It was a different story this summer though, very tough fishin. There's some nice bass in that lake

Fished it around July 4 off a dock during the afternoon around 6-8 and went through a carton of chicken liver within that time, within an and a half. It was catfish, didn't have a chance to bass fish, but I'm guessing around the docks it would be good.
