Thanks "Moon River" and "Dfitz" for the replies. "Moon River": By placing the thumb in the mouth of the fish and your index finger slightly on the back of the fishes gill helps control the fish. A Rio is really hard to handle after the catch especially if you want to photograph em. They will fight you all the way to the release or to the ice chest.

Those are some HUGE FISH! Good job Chuck! I picked up a few nice ones fishing the Cibolo last week. They are holding close to shore next to brush piles.





Side Note: Trying to talk Jeff into some Kayak fishing on the San Marcus River. Have you fished it recently?

Thanks Curtis! I have not fished the San Marcus this year. I did receive some current reports that the fishing was hit and miss between San Marcus and Lulling. Early morning bite is the best.
