My favorite color is chartreuse -- great for specks and redfish on the coast, though I can also remember having a big largemouth nail a chunky white one at Love Creek Ranch many years ago.

they are like a jighead; similar in action. The tail also determines action as the longer tails will sink slower. My main use of them is to cast to schools of fish in open water; I think they imitate a dying shad as they flutter down the water column-p-

I use the teeny 140 sink tip line. I always carry a 10 foot sink tip when I'm fishing with a floating line. I can take off my leader, attach the sink tip loop to loop, add about 2-4 feet of floracarbon as a leader and fish my floating line that way; works good. The teeny has a 22 foot sink tip which helps get the fly down in current but 10 foot will get you down in a lake or stream with slow current-p-
