Good luck guys! Hope you catch some BIG AJ's.

May see you all at the docks when you get in.

Whoa there, the AJ's to beat are shown below. Snagged's 101 lb and 91 lb back-to-back AJ's caught on the Big E. May he rest in peace.

Now I guess those two wouldn't be a TXG3 record, but one of the best AJ angling feats on record.

It was tough, gentlemen.

Everyone fished hard, most of the 'hands worked hard, Capt's worked hard.
The bite was off, w/ alot of strange, heavy currents. I apparently left my A-game in Denton county, or it might have been that VooDoo-woman on the overpass in waco....hmmm
5 or 6 AJ's to almost 50#, Chuck & Brian H. got a couple really nice 'Saw's about the same size, obviously a buncha stinky kings, B-liners were comparatively few. A couple nice Lane's, a good scamp, Buncha them tasty rainbow runners & that's about it. Of course we could have filled the boat with those "endangered" Reds- I bet we successfully released probably 300 of those little (10-20#) suckers... de
Not the greatest trip numbers-wise, but on the other hand......
The weather, seas, jokes, stories, food, & general cameraderie couldn't be beat!
although, I did kinda miss another gymnastics lesson from Bobby........ cheer

Yes Tom no doubt that Jerry's (RIP) still the unanimous AJ king cheers . However since none of them G3TX Polly Wogs have one anywhere's even close to 99 ponds I rest my case.

These trips are_always great fun even when the fish, weather or ripping currents don't cooperate. I'll definitely be on next years trip. Too many work obligations and I couldn't swing it this year. Caught my personal best AJ last year on this trip. 88.3# on FW scales. That dude was one tough SOB but I'm going for the 100# club next year. thumb
