You are absolutely correct Dodges Suck Just blew one up. Go Chevy or Ford dont get suckered in by the cheap dodges there 10000 cheaper for a reason cause your gonna need the first year to keep it running(I KNOW FROM EXPERIENCE) cheers

I'm not playing favorites here, but just wanted to offer some info on the Fords. Our company has several of the newer Fords in service and there's nothing wrong with them except one common problem. They have dinky, and I mean dinky flywheels. We've had the flywheels break @ young ages, but mind you this are extremely loaded down trucks. The same flywheel in your boat/camper towing rig should be fine. The engines and transmissions seem bullet-proof.

Now that said, I drive a 2000' Dodge Diesel. I love it too, but the only thing it lacks is the quietness of the newer ones as far as what I would want.

cheers
Rick

hey colter thank you! dodges have trouble with simple things such as the doors not sealing up. ( I know from experience.) or the 1 piece grills and hood conected together, when you are working on them when you raise your head up you band your head on the grill. right now i am a ford man. because they have a quiet strong engine. and also they have the most leg room in the back seat, besides the dodge uglycab. cheverolet has the duramax that is catching up to ford. my dad owns a F350 4x4 diesel. his boss has a 07 duramax 4x4 that is fast, strong, and also very quiet. what i am saying is dodge is just a good lookin cracker jack box!

I have a 1999 F 250 4x4 that has 490,000 miles and pulled a 6000 pound load plus trailer from San Antionio to Lubbock Friday and got 14 miles to the gallon .
Thinking about getting a new one after x-mas. Mine uses very little oil and has lost a little get up and go and I have been running a chip in it from day one. I lost my first transmission at 350.000 miles and loose a cam shaft sensor about every 150,000 miles. The only complaint I have aout the rig is the damn cup holder that broke the first year that I never fixed.

my dads F 350 4x4 diesel 2000 has a chip in it and a 6 inch pipe on it to pull a 26 foot bumper pull coverd trailer to haul cabinets in. when you have the trailer full you can feel it, but it will pull anything you hook on to. if you have the chip set on tow it takes longer to get up.
