I hate flux core. Go with a real mig or do the real welder thing and go stick. You gotta get on in there and make it sizzle. 6011 works for most stuff, 7018 is nice for 1/4 inch steel, 7024 is good for touch welding. (just cram that 7024 down in there and move.)

Welding rebar requires certification in some instances.
Looks good enough to me.

A buddy told me to make rows. I tried messing with the min and max. Getting a slot of splatter. Played with the wire feed speed. Fun. I'll stop in to update my progress in a week or so. I'm sure its boring.

That row on the bottom right is decent.
The rest look like Stevie Wonder did it.

You are doing fine Chicken. Night and day difference between day 1&2. Keep playing with the min and max setting and wire speeds as well.
Do this:
Low setting, low wire speed Med setting, low wire speed High setting, low wire speed
Low setting, med wire setting Med setting, med wire speed ******BEST STARTING POINT******* high setting, med wire speed
low setting high wire speed med setting, high wire speed high setting, high wire speed
You want it to sound like bacon frying. Kind of a thzthzthzthzthzthzthzthzthzthzthz sound. Note each run and it's sound. Also flip the steel over and look at the heat patch or burn through.
