Hi,I would keep it,if you fish for carp,or catfish,buffalo,I have been using them for over 20 years,I am from the UK,most carp anglers use rod pods of various brands,they make positioning the rods much easier,all carp anglers in europe use baitrunner reels,and bite alarms,you could checck out Big carp tackle or Wackerbaits for more info,or I can give you tips if you want
