Like fishing with someone as its always nice to have someone to shoot the breeze with but I definitely fish better alone. Not worried about my partner getting on fish, or me front ending him or him getting discouraged if he's not getting bit. And I can concentrate better.
All of this kind of screws up my "karma" and makes me feel guilty that their not having a good time.
Now when I put someone on fish, especially when their just casual fishermen, that's priceless.
This has probably been discussed a lot before.

I do like fishing alone, and I feel more confident because I'm not worried about what my partner is thinking or if I am getting on their nerves or whatever but sometimes if you know who your fishing with really well, then it can be helpful because they have ideas that maybe you haven't thought of or you have someone to bounce ideas off of besides talking to yourself.

Love having someone to share the boat.
Except sometimes. Like this morning, I stuck with a technique and area for 3 hours, even though I wasn't getting bit. I have enough confidence in it that I could last that long. If I'd had someone with me, i'd probably have given up and run to the bank, where I know we could catch at least a few.
Also, I'm a quiet fisherman. I don't like a lot of histrionics when someone catches a fish. I doubt I'd get along with Iaconelli.

Robber Rose certainly did.

I went yesterday with my son and father in law. after I got one of the 100 hangup out I noticed bass in reeds, had the rod I needed on deck pitched in and caught one, pitched in and missed two then realized I front ended them, so it was back to throwing crankbaits at ledges
Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst

I enjoy both solitude and company. I fish for several different reasons, catching fish being one of those reasons. Being out in nature, and getting much needed 'non-stress' time, is another big reason. Being away from my wife is another reason (no offense, wife). Depends on why I am out there that particular day.

Yeah, Robert Alexander. But Robbie did most of his damage fishing alone. So much so that BassChamps said in 2008 Rose would have to have an observer in his boat. He never entered another BassChamps event. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_123/BassChamps_lewisville_05.html

Why would he not enter due to an observer, not like you have to worry about back seating them! Just wondering since he was so dominate?

Because he was cheating and an observer would have exposed that or the fact that he couldn't catch them when someone else was present.

I like fishing alone sometimes but most of the guys I fish with are better fishermen than I am so I learn quite a bit from them. Most of them are pretty good guys. If one of my buddies is beating on them pretty good I will just let them have the trolling motor because all im doing is slowing them down

If I'm not on fish, I'd rather be alone, as opposed to the "Have to produce factor", which stresses me. Being alone also has its benefits, leave early or stay later etc.

I fish better alone but most of the time prefer to fish with a buddy.

There is nothing better than fishing with my two sons, doesn't get any better than seeing them boating fish, sometimes I just want to go out alone.
I am not making any decisions until the bourbon kicks in!

I like my own company! I prefer fishing alone just to bogart the good angles and places. Also not having to worry about "guiding" I could never do that full time I am too selfish.
