Initial reports are saying the pleasure craft was operating without required lights. Regardless, such a tragedy!

Regardless of who was at fault....could you imagine being in a boat at night with your spouse, a couple of friends, and 4 children when all of a sudden you see a speeding boat coming right at you? That and the aftermath is a boater's nightmare. Lives were drastically changed and my sincere prayers for the hurting hearts, lives, and bodies involved.

What a sad situation. No matter who is at fault, there are 8 survivors that are going to have to live with the memory of this tragedy. Not to mention, there are a couple of adults that will have to live with the guilt of being involved directly in an accident that took 2 people too early from this world. I hate to see any accident, but I certainly hate to see accidents involving bass boats. It gives us all a black eye of sorts.
Prayers for everyone involved and their families.

Perhaps we should hold off assigning blame until the investigation is complete.
The operator of the Skeeter is a good friend of mine. He and Josh are both very experienced and safe boaters. I wasn't there and don't know exactly what happened other than what has been reported. If I were a betting man, I'd guess the pleasure boat had no lights on, but that's only because I know how safe the Skeeter owner is.
I spoke to him by text a bit ago and they are both banged up but ok. Physically.
Prayers for all the families touched by this tragedy. Well said Fouz...I was one of the paramedics that made the scene last night. Sad deal for sure...praying for everyone involved.

sad to say the least but it is not only conroe that has become very dangerous,with that said knee mail sent up to all involved and god speed on the recovery process..

Most of us could end up in the same situation running on plane after dark trusting other boaters are using their lights and operating safely when in fact they don't. High speed after dark is gamble it's time to slow it down
