Whew... clear as a bell. by my calculations I think that means Pepop will need about 17 t's for his rig.

Two T's come with the nmea starter kit and one T comes with "point 1 antenna". You will need one more T to make it work with two units.

You will have a T for each unit and one T for antenna and one more T to run a power to backbone (switched) to be able to turn off when not in use or battery will run down.

The antenna does have to have a hole in deck for wire to run to backbone and should not be mounted by trolling motor or big motor because of the compass. Mount it by console to keep it from interference from motors.

Takes about one hour to hook it all up and then go into menu to turn on point 1 antenna to each unit in gps settings. Once thats done you need to configure antenna when you get on the lake by making a large circle.

Hope that's clear enough...It's really simple and easy.

If a person wants to run another unit, just add another T and you have a place to connect 3rd unit or any other nmea driven system. Kinda cool really...

What'd you say your address was Benny? dunce I'm thinking the only place the module will fit on my Stratos will be right behind the driver's seat. That'll be 3' or so from the motor. Also, the HDS8 on my console will be the only unit connected for now.

Then you only need nmea starter kit and "point 1".... the only thing to mount is little round antenna and backbone will go under dash and is not very big at all. It's like the size of two cigars end to end. Antenna is about the size of a tennis ball around and is 1 1/2" tall. There will be two long nmea wires and one short one with kits so if you need to mount it behind you, it will have enough wires...

Good job of explaining how the system installs, Denny. I'm sure it will help a lot of guys in the future!

I ordered my point 1 and NMEA starter kit. In the future, please stop pointing out gadgets that I don't have. It's much cheaper if I do no know about them.

I've been using a local shop in Longview for the last couple years and got a similar price through them. When it comes time for a big purchase, I will check your prices. I like to support local businesses and they have always offered good customer service to me.
