Nice catch under some very hard conditions. Good job.
Side Note: The wind was blowing hard here in South Texas.

Are there docks on benbrook that hold crappie, or is it mostly brushpiles?

That's a good catch, under extreme conditions. That's Benbrook you can always catch at least one big one out there.

That boat was a rock'n in the wind! I wouldn't even attempt going out in that right now with my back as bad as it is. Good catch though!

The big one came from 17' down in 20 fow. Hard to fish that lake in the wind for sure. My rule is if i can catch 5 or me i will keep them if i need them. Otherwise they get thrown back. Thats why i keep the live wells working at top notch. It might be good this weekend BUT with the 4th... I be staying home!

That lake is more easily traversed by those who don't know it well when the water is low. Once it comes up there are many heartbreakers lurking just below the water.
Thermocline is just about to setup well and I'll be looking for some 2+ pounders out there soon.
Nice video and pictures!

Very true. I have lots of Waypoints just for that reason. Hidden Timber = Big Crappie. That's the only way i got that 2 pounder today. Nobody would ever suspect that timber. Even when the lake is low...

You should have hung around till around 1, the wind really picked up around 11 or so, especially sitting out in main body hunting for the other species. Lol

Thanks Ketchn. And Kerry i noticed it was getting worse and so i left. I think it could have been a good productive day had it not been for that high wind.
