Praying that they are wrong about the wind forecast! Agreed. Looks like they took the rain out of the forecast which is good. South Lake is tiny so wind won't make it unsafe, just bring your anchor/drift sock!

That's great news. I was under the impression it was kayaks only. Ive been turned away from every event ive tried to fish from my tube. 1 question. Being that I fish from a tube I don't put in at the ramp out there, I put in at a clearing in the weeds towards the dam. Is it ok if I don't use the ramp for takeoff? For this event, yes it is ok. You will still need to check in and have your score card on the table by the cut off time. Looking forward to it! of course

I grew up on that lake in Farmersville..Wind will drown you on that lake..be safe ya'll..
There are some HUGE bass in that lake..!

FYI: There is a very good possibility we will shorten the event by an hour or so due to the wind. It will be a game time decision made at check in.
Shaping up to be a fun event. Rumors are starting to fly about some big fish being caught lately, can't wait. Wind makes a topwater bite last all day!
