Hope you did well today. You will enjoy fishing with Zell. I fished with him on day two in 2008 when the elites went to Falcon the first time. Could not ask for a better man to be in the boat with.

The Texas boys showed out this tourney! Tom on pro side and Mark and some other Texas Co's towards top. It was a very tough day for me mentally. First spot Brandon had limit in hour and I had 4+ jump off at boat plus 2 others came off half way back to boat. They slowed there and we ran and I had no keepers until about noon. I managed to piece together small keepers at each spot through the afternoon getting my limit with only 10 minutes to go. I needed those early big fish to compete, but I guess not having a keeper at noon and finishing with 5 for 10-06 is better than nothing. Think I have figured out why my drop shot fish coming unbuttoned. Brandon Coulter is one of the nicest pros I have fished with and a great stick, you will see him move up tomorrow! Shared a hole with Jimmy Houston today for hour close as 25 yards. Everyone was throwing drop shot but him and everyone was getting bit but him, he was sticking to old school jig.

Zell and I struggled, I fished clean no mistakes, but neither of us had a keeper one hour before weigh-in. His key school wasn't working at all. Last hour we just did something random out of way and it was loaded with fish up to 17". I got a keeper and Zell ended up with 3. Tough day for us, but awesome fishing with Zell. Waiting for Chad to get in, I can finally do some live updates from weigh-in.
