Yeah, Texas I guess isn't into poling as much as Florida. I think the water is too dirty (and too windy) on the Upper Coast for the fish to be so spooky to require poling. I think I'll just stick with a trolling motor. The Laguna Madre is a different story though. NewWater boats is starting to make Texas made poling skiffs for true Texans that don't want to buy from Florida. Thanks for all the help Pat! smile

Their shallow flats are deeper than ours. When I'm dead on tailing reds it's less than a foot deep. They are in twice that. I thought the LLM was clear, it's a mud hole in comparison to the water there
