Cuda 14Capacity: 400lbs per jackson website
the cuda offers more for the gadget guy imo. the cuda cost more than the ride135.
it can handle open water OK and is overall a nice fishing yak with an especially nice seat (IMPORTANT). it paddles and glides well. due to hull design, primary stability is average. Jackson did a fine job when they made the cuda IMO.
Ride 135Capacity: 550lbs per wilderness website
the ride is a simpler design (not as fancy) than the cuda IMO. it handles open water better than the cuda (more rocker, weight cap = dryer ride ). due to hull design, the ride has above average primary stability.
considered by many to be a more all around yak being slightly shorter than the cuda but having more weight cap and rocker. it is considered a big boys yak but paddles easily even for smaller guys. excellent seat has yet to be seen.
They r both nice & fast on the water as far as fishing kayaks go.
Its not necessary but wise to demo both before purchasing. see/feel for yourself then decide.
youll be happy with either IMO. chevy guys like chevys ford guys like fords....
