They never actually targeted any boats on the lake, but it sure seemed like it. Came in fast and would drop down low over the water. Early morning, quiet and peaceful and then one of the A-10s would drop in on ya. Use to love the grass bed behind coon island, and the flats back in the cove. got several nice ones outa there but never could break 10. Nice one SK1.

No, they used the boat you were sitting in for practice. They used F-4 Phantoms too but you could hear them coming from a long ways off. The Warthogs were there before you new it and would scare the carp out of you. This was several years ago.

+1. I'll guarantee you they were targeting boats. Not actually shooting or anything. Just using us to line up their gun site on. Was told this by an A-10 pilot.

Coincidence is His way of remaining anonymous.

Okay agreed, "targeted" yes, no rounds fired, and yeah you usually had to go change shorts when they came outa nowhere, sometimes looked they would take a stump with them they dropped down so low!

My Grandparents used to live in that cut behind Coon Island(shows sand creek on the map), about half way back on the right as you go in. Fished that lake for years growing up, used to sack em up good!
