Got to fish with good friends Seapro Todd and Rockwall Roy Friday afternoon till dark. Fishing was slow but we did manage to boat a few fish.

Saturday I had my son Aaron on board with me and we did fairly decent, We put 2 Hybrids in the boat and 19 sandies. All of our fish are coming off deep water humps and the levee.



Met a new friend and his lovely wife Friday afternoon. John is on the forum and fishes Hubbard as much as he can. He is the Rockwall High basketball coach. He and his wife were pounding the Hybrids on live bait while we watched and caught a minimal amount of fish. Saturday Varner and his crew were out catching along with Dr. Whiplash and Ray and Minh. The weather was perfect Saturday morning, cloud cover light winds and good friends.

Raining today and possible all week !!! I hope someone gets out and posts back a great report.

That is Johnny Jr. His whole family are great at catching. He fishes out of a Black deck boat. I remember his wife being pregnant with the youngest while holding the toddler in her one arm and fishing with the other.

Glad you had a good trip Sunday am wind got BAD at Texoma, had a great trip as always and got Terry back on the lake again, I cant' wait to get back ASAP!

Thanks for the invite Gene! I had a blast. A much needed relaxation after the long vacation. Lol

The nice couple was John and Heather. They put quite a live show on catching big hybrids! Couple of rods bent every 20 minutes. Great ppl and great sportsmen. All hybrids CPR'ed.

Good to see you guys out. Had 2 of the grand kids Friday and didnt do much fishing. Saturday late afternoon we had my son and his wife and 5 more grand kids come to the dock. I took my son and 5 of the grand kids out boat riding and came across the sand bass schooling. My son and i broke out the rods and would cast and hook one and let the kids reel them in. They had a blast each one reeled in 3 each and I took them in and brought the other two grand kids out and they were still schooling. We stayed on them until dark. I have 9 grand kids in all and got to put 7 of them on good fishing and they were all asking when they could come back. We had good fishing out of the slip also so there was alot of fish caught. Very good weekend for all!

Way to go Gene, Todd, Minh, and Pat! Schooling sandies with kids is a sure fire way to keep them coming back to grandpa's house. Glad you found them!

Goog report Gene! If anyone can figure the patterns out this year they are a Rocket Scientist! Last Thursday it was a slam dunk. Then Friday the best part of my night was Todd's egg rolls! So it goes with fishing....

Patterns-- Frank I have farm ponds here that always have been good for bass, and also access to many neighbors also, they are off also, lately I cant seem to even get hardly a bite let alone what I have done in the past. I keep a fishing log and compared to the last several years there is no comparison.

I call the new pattern the egg-rollercoaster pattern. That one is for Fishboy Frank!

Morning bite was good then midday was slow except for live bait. Then it was on from about 4:30 to sunset. This was the same pattern as the Friday before for me.
