I think long casts are key when you're not in grass.
I prefer a 3/4oz Santone jig in just about every situation.

People say to drag it like a c-rig. But i can always and i mean always catch double the fish if not triple the fish on my c-rig. Not sure why fishing it in same area as c-rig just few bites. I have caught some pigs on the football head jig 7-9lbs but just usually few bites if any

I think dragging a jig might be more like shakey head, but shakey head usually worm and jig more a crawfish look. I don't have much experience dragging a jig because I will always c-rig, shakey head, t-rig, or even drop shot before I pick up the jig.

Ill flip the jig all day long but besides from fishing rock piles Im with you and will keep using the c-rig. Might take a trip over the summer and just man up and throw one all day and see what happens need to gain more confidence in them.

I think it may have advantage getting quality bites. Good enough for Cliff to win the Classic doing it, guess I better learn.
