So, I'm thinking there may be some shallows holding water that haven't for a while. I suspect that carp will be there picking up bugs from the grass. Maybe I'm too optimistic, but we have been getting a lot more rain than usual.

If tomorrow wasn't Father's Day I'd be down. I have a yak though so next time give me a shout and I'll try to get up that way

Well, last weekend was all scouting. Went upstream Travis, but didn't find anything. Never even made a cast.


I'm heading out tomorrow bright and early looking for the morning bite on Lake Austin, MQP park if anyone would like to join me.

The morning bite was tough for me on Lake Austin. I managed a few small fish that I had to work way to hard for. It stayed cloudy and was a nice day for kayaking. It all looks fishy, and I imagine I'll have better luck another time.

Here are a few pictures from MQP park and brushy creek. Nothing too special, but I've been having fun getting out on a regular basis again.
