Each boat has Pro s and con's . Most boats made today are built pretty much the same, in the sense of all composite construction and. The main differences are hull designs, and deck layouts. My personal opinion is Skeeter makes the best boat on the water. I would be glad to expand on this and answer any questions you have. As you can see, so far in your thread. Its kinda like being a dodge or a chevy man.

I'm also a Skeeter driver but I checked out the Sterling website and wow, they even put a toilet between the driver and passenger seats. I had to show that to the wife. I guess it could double as a minnow bucket. lol. All it takes is $$$$.

I've only owned 8 boats in my life but the Allison I own now I've had the longest.
The Rangers were better while stopped fishing and are quality builds but not quite up to an Allison. Mine is a XB2003 and is not the conventional layout that I would have liked but when the key is turned on it performs better than I ever thought possible. My daughter likes it mostly because it sips gas which was my initial reason for getting it.
The new 21 footers are going for as low as low 50 grand for boat with a 200 Pro XS. They can go for over 70 grand easy if fully rigged with all the smear of stuff you can put on bass boats. I would like to own one someday, used of course.

I have owned: 2 Skeeters (ZX24V Bay Boat & SX190 Bass Boat, 2 Crownline cabin crusiers, Action Craft Flats Boat 1710, and 3 Nautic Stars (1910, 2200 Tournament and the 2110 Shallow Bay.
I have fished Triton, Ranger, Pathfinder, and dozens more. For the price in the bay boat style, none give you more boat for your money than Nautic Star.

I can guarantee that the best boat is a boat that is paid for. All of them have their negatives and positives. Do not rely on any info except for what you get riding and running in a boat yourself. I personally prefer Rangers. + 100% and then some I always now buy anything with the mindset of resale, how hard would it be to resale it? Would it be something someone else would want? Awhile back I sold my bass boat -Triton- in 10 hrs due to the condition and how clean it was. The buyer said he almost did not come out to see it when I told him how clean it was he did not believe me he said. My center console was bought the same way super clean and fully loaded. I would love to have a new Blue Wave but mine's PAID FOR! and works just fine. Of all the boats I have been in the 2 best for me would be a Falcon if they still made them or a new Blue Wave.

Allisons are probably the best built boat. I owned a XB2003 for a few years. The only problem with the Allison boats are that they are built to go fast and that being said there is less weight and less/thinner fiberglass used in the hulls. I had mine in the fiberglass shop 3 times due to cracking the hull fishing it in the stump filled lakes here in North Texas (Ray Roberts, Fork, etc....) I never hit a stump on plane just at idle and also high centered it with the trolling motor. The model I had did not fish real well as it was a narrow boat with a deeper v and was pretty tippy especially with someone in the rear of the boat. I have no personal expierience with a Bullet or Stroker or other go fast boats but I would personally shy away from any lightweight hull If u plan on fishing it in any lakes that are full of stumps. My Insurance company told me that if I had one more claim they were going to cancel my policy, so after Its last trip to the fiberglass shop I sold it. And my next boat will probably be a bass cat or legend not a skeeter just to clear that up. I am a little concerned with some of the older Legends I have looked at with the gelcoat on the top cap spider webbing. maybe its just a few of them. I am sure they have fixed that issue on the new ones but time will tell.

These "What's the best" threads are always fun to read. Everyone gets to chime in on their favorite whatever it is and nothing really gets settled. The RV forums are even more fun.

Well I have been a Die Hard Ranger man for over 20 years. I have been looking at the Phoenix. I finally drove one and let me tell ya, It road so smooth that it made my Ranger seem like a Model T driving on a rutted dirt road. I brought home a 2014 921 ProXP Friday. Rides like a dream and the deck is unbelievable for fishing on.

charger while being one of the slowest hulls is definitely the best ride and is top quality, if I had to get in under rough conditions , that's the boat I would choose

My Ranger is probably getting close to antique status like Hop's Champion so it is hard for me to offer a real life opinion on a modern boat. If I do not go bay or CC on the next one my choice will most likely be Champion, Bass Cat or Ranger.

If your a Champion fan then Legend is the way to go. No other boat brand comes close to these as far as fit and finish IMO.
