Sorry guys, no video to watch this time, Whitacre had to work, so it's just a few fish photos and me telling about it.

I finally got a day off when the wind wasn't forecast to be howling so I loaded up the truck and headed out.
I was on the water just before 6:00 AM. As the sun came up the clouds rolled in and a light breeze started blowing, perfect day shaping up. I started out throwing a new topwater that I'd been wanting to try. By 9:00 AM I had three of my best fish and a hook missing off my new topwater. I put that rod away and went to plastic, by 12:05 my 5 best fish totaled 105 inches and straight up 1:30 I caught my biggest of the day and bumped me up to 109.75".
Wow what a great morning. By now the clouds were thinning out and the quality fish went to hide, I only caught 4 bass after that.
I did spend a hour playing with a school of channel cats I found on the FF, ended up catching six or seven 21-22".
They're a lot of fun to catch on light spinning gear.
All the bass I caught we in 3-6 FOW, water temp started out at 78 and was 84 by late afternoon. The C cats were in 7 FOW on a flat next to a shallow slope and were caught on Sudden Impact. All the bass were caught on two baits, a custom spook or a fluke.
Lake of choice today was Purtis Creek.

I've talked to several of the PB guys I see fishing out there and they are struggling, I think I just got lucky.
There were 5 boats there yesterday and they were gone before 1 PM.

Thanks for the report- nothing like some sore arms from a bent rod.

Seriously Deric... You catch giants from the kayak at will and on different bodies of water, spots where pretty much everyone else struggles... Its a totally different level you're on... It's mind boggling... You should have your own tv show!
