Was fishing The rocks at at Ray Hubbard Sat. As it started to rain, the bass started hitting the top. I noticed 2 ducks swimming the rocks next to me. All the sudden I hear the ducks screaming, then something come up and EATS one of the ducks. Nothing left but feathers! Wondered if it was a big Bass or Catfish. Has anyone ever seen this before?

Wow! Never seen that, but have heard of it. If it was a bass I wonder if she got it down. Seems they bite off more than they can chew alot. Saved a 9+ this last winter when it was at the surface choking on a big crappie.

I've always wanted to see that. I've seen duck bills and duck feet sticking out of bass throats before, but never seen it happen.

A duckling is an easy meal, they're smaller than they look because they have those thick fluffy baby feathers.

Up north I saw a Muskie nab a small duck on the surface. Also saw a bass suck down a small snake on Lake Ouachita in Arkansas a few years back.

I have seen big snakes on those rocks taking down fish, so I stuck around a whole to see if it came up on the rocks, but nothing. Pretty sure it was a fish. They weren't ducklings either. Young ducks for sure, but a huge meal for a big bass/cat/hybrid?

I've seen it several times on our neighborhood lake. You'll see Momma swimming with her babies in tow, then all of a sudden less babies.

I was fishing a small private lake in East Texas a number of years back and saw the instant that a bass ate a baby duck swimming behind momma. It was an awesome strike, National Geographic kind of awesome.

I bet it was a catfish... They're on the rocks right now! My Dad and brother went the other night and caught about 60 cats off the rocks, I don't know if they fished the bridge or dam though...
