"CH": There is a lot of poison ivy at the nature center and you need to watch out for it. I am very lucky that I am not allergic to it. There are some super thick areas especially behind the baseball fields. Lots of good water but you have to go through a lot of thick brush to get there. As for the snakes. All I have seen there have been the Indigo and water snakes. I spoke with a park employe a couple of years ago and he said that the State released some Indigo snakes inside the nature center to control/kill the Rattle Snakes.
