The Ray Hubbard Bass Cub will be having our third members only tournament of 2017, Saturday April 8th on Lake Tawakoni. Here is the information -

• When: Saturday April 8th
• Where: Lake Tawakoni - Sky Point RV Park Ramp - ($7.00 launch fee)
• Time: 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM
• Registration: 5:30 AM - 6:15 AM
• Entry Fee: $60.00 per boat – 2 person maximum

You MUST be an RHBC member to fish this tournament. We do not accept membership at the launch ramp, so if you want to fish this one, you will have needed to join the Club at our meeting this Thursday night at BPS Garland. Here is a link to the meeting information.

Meeting Link

Registration will be at the ramp starting at 5:30 on Saturday morning. When you register you will be given a numbered chip. You will need to to turn your chip in by placing it on the board to get your fish weighed. You can then launch or trailer and go to your spot. No lines in the water until 6:30. Lines out at 3:30.

There will be a 30 minute dead water period where no fishing is allowed at the end of the day. This is to give members time to get off the water, and the TD's time to get the weigh in set up. The chip must be back on the board with the Tournament Director by 4:00 and weigh in will start then. If your chip is not on the board by 4:00, a 1 pound per minute penalty will be assessed. After 15 minutes your catch will be disqualified. You will be called to the scales by boat number. Leave your fish in the live well until your number is called! Keep the water treated! See you at the ramp!

They're saying the wind may blow a bit. Shocking...

no problem on Tawakoni smile roflmao We may need to discuss a trailering option at the meeting. But be aware there is theft going on around the lake currently. MY truck was broken into at the Duck COve ramp two weeks ago and they stole everything out of my truck, including my radio and tore up the dash in the process.

I heard about that. It's a sad deal. ALL RHBC tournaments are trailering tournaments. Once you register, you can trailer to a ramp of your choice. Safety first!

Latest weather forecast.

Sunny, with a high near 80. South wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph

Guys, Tawakoni gets angry in that kind of wind. Keep your life jackets on! Watch out for sand bars and timber just below the water. Safety first!

Tawakoni showed us her good side and her most ugly side yesterday. The fishing was pretty good, but getting back to the ramp was a challenge in the heavy wind. Many boats speared waves but everyone made it back safely. As for the fishing, our defending AOY's Ronnie Manning and Capp Peace had a big day with a limit that weighed 22.95 for the win. Big bass for the tournament was a 9.79 monster caught by the team of Danny and Zach Yates. 44 boats came out for the fun. Full results and pictures will be posted later this week.

It was definitely a fun day for us. Didn't catch many but we got the right bites for sure.

Thanks to my nephew Zach for fishing with brother Danny and showing him what it is like to have someone in the boat catch a huge fish.
Congrats on their 3rd place finish also. Great job.

Funny, I was thinking, "look what happens when Tommy gets removed from the picture..." roflmao That 9.79 was a beast!
