Several folks have asked about Joe Pool lake. Here's a report as to what has worked for us. We have caught bass on crainkbaits, texas rig, carolina rig, jig, and drop shots. main lake points are good now(10-20 feet), look for cover on these points and you'll find fish. My bait of choice is the C-Rig,though my buddies like to throw crainkbaits and Texas Rig worms. For me the C-Rig has produced well the last couple of weeks. Here's some pics of the bigger fish we've caught over the last several weeks.

Good fish. SO most of the big ones are in deeper water I take it?

Thanks for the update. I need all the help I can get, I've been out there 5 or 6 times this year with very little success. Last few times there where so many people playing out there that it was miserable. I may try it in the morning. I'm in a blue/silver Triton.

The fish are now starting to move a little deeper off the main lake points. Early in the morning and late in the evening you will find some in the shallows, but if you go now, once the sun gets up work the deeper water. Use the bait you have most confidence with. I prefer the C-Rig under the post spawn pattern.

Nice fish! Thanks for the update. I'll give your advice a try since the creeks are really muddy right now.
