Why does it say that this is his SECOND 100+ pound bag but the old record was 83 pounds? Would his first 100+ bag have been the record?

His new record is for a 3 day Tourny.

In that Falcon tourney did they fish 4 days? I remember they canceled one. But I couldn't remember if they actually only fished 3 days.

His 1st 100lb bag was 111.5 lbs on falcon in a 4 day tournament last year i believe and the 4 day record is by paul elias on falcon in an elite series event his 4 day total was around 132 lbs...

Yep I'm not a Fork regular, but I'm on here alot and as you guys know there are alot of Fork info and report threads. Seems that no one I have seen for the most part that has posted on here has found those deep fish like Combs and some others did. I'm sure some guides had found them though.

im surprised they haven't figured out a way to televise this tourney ,and not trying to take nothing away from the win, he also did catch several overs. but they do get to weigh slot fish . Ive had days and tournaments where ive caught a lot of big slots but brought nothing to the scales. ive also had a lot of days on that lake where I couldn't buy a bite .I do like the tournament and wish they would do some bassmaster and flw tournaments here also , because it is a fun few days and it brings a lot of money and people to the area.

I'm happy for Keith, but I don't understand how you can call it a world record when most of the fish were not even legal keepers. If that is the case "Dottie" the foul hooked World Record Bass should count too.

No doubt Keith put on a clinic and even astounded me. I did not think there was enough fish out there yet to put this kind of stringer together for 3 days, but after being informed of the method(s) he used to catch the fish and the information he had amassed and from whom he received his information, I see how he did it.
50 different scales with 1/4 pound increments, with 50 different sets of eyes reading these scales in very wavy conditions creates some discrepancies also.
I'm an electronically challenged fisherman, and the knowledge these guys have about their electronics simply blows me away.
I think calling his catch a "World Record" is a stretch at best.

Richard, I served as judge and used the Boga Grip scales like the rest. Yes there is room for discrepancies but not like the way your referring to. My pro (Cody Myers) and I both thought the fish appeared larger than the scales actually weighed them. Yes the Bogas go by 1/4 lb increments. However, we as judges were instructed to round the weights down not up. So if a fish weighed actually 7 lb 11 oz on the Boga's we had to call in the weight as 7 lb 8 oz. So, in actuality the weights were heavier than reported. Keith's sack might have been heavier than 110 lbs.
