I am going to buy a Pontoon boat soon. Primarily for cruising and fishing. What mfg. should it be checking out?

Pontoons are great for pulling up to a spot and staying there all day. For cruising the lake or any serious fishing, a pontoon shouldn't be the first choice for a boat...

As far as pontoons, there are many good choices. Most brands these days are good and comparable.

search Pontoon boats: pro's/con's. There was a post a month back or so. I tried to link it, but it didn't work for me.

My buddy just bought a Siver Wave in Kingston, OK. It is an incredible boat. The console is in the center which makes the deck even more useable. The boat is extremely well made. It even has the shield plates underneath to prevent the runners from catching the waves as you run across the lake. His boat is 22' tritoon with a 175 Suzuki. It'll run 45 mph loaded. Super smooth even in rough water. I own a Bennington pontoon and his Silverwave is twice as nice as mine. I would trade up in a heart beat if I had the money.
