Its hard to beat a YM when it comes to a pop'r style bait. I really like the Lucky Craft Gunfish, and a Vixen.

Gotta go with the Rico or Lucky Craft I also have a couple of Pop-Rs that Zell Rowland reworked and far as I am concerned nothing will touch them as far as catching bass. Problem is Zell no longer does them so I just use them on special occasions.

Iovino's Splash-it. As good.

This Topwater will catch them better than any Topwater I have ever thrown, and I pay full retail for them.

There are other poppers beside yellow magic??? Ha, nothing compares to Yellow Magic. I've got out of boat several times getting those baby's. Never lost one. Knock on wood.

I don't get all the hype about the YM... Every time I've thrown them, I haven't caught many. And, when I do they're dinks. I'll stick with a spook or buzzbait. I guess they all have a time and place just like any other lure. But, I have so much more confidence in a spook. I think a spook catches better quality fish too.

Dangit... I've been saving money on baits for about 6 months now, and now THIS? haha!

This bait looks like the body of a gun fish but attitude of a pencil popper? I'm in, this looks like the best of both worlds. Thanks Mark.

New to fourm and fish topwater more than any bait. That being said the Zell-Pop is the only popper I have found you can fish very fast without foul-hookups like the others being shared on here. I like the Sammy an gunfish also very good baits and well made.
