Congrats to my son Austyn Fowler and his partner Zach Hurst from Tarelton State University. They qualified today fishing the Ouchita River in Monroe La for the College National Championship today finishing in 13th place I could not be any prouder as a parent of there accomplishments as a freshman in college. 3 more years to go. Go TSU Texans!!!!! Bring home the National Championship back to Texas...

Congrats to them! I know they had to work hard for it. I practiced on Friday near them a couple of times but didn't get to fish the tournament due to a lunched lower unit. That was a tough tournament. Horrible conditions. Every fish counted out there.

Texas Teams in purple tend to do well when it comes to collegiate bass fishing.
SFA has done very well in the past. Love to see my Lumberjacks do well!

Congratulations - it was a tough river to fish.
My "god" son, Shelby Hutchens lead one of the SFA teams to a 11/12th place tie.
These young men are dedicated.
