No, this is not an Aprils Fools Belinda & I got a late start, ended up getting on the water at 9:50am and before 10am my bobber sunk out of sight!
And it was on! I took the lead for a couple of minutes
But Belinda wasn't having none of it
And then she was unstoppable
The skies cleared for the most part, and the corks kept sinking!
The fish were hammering the Slab Bug
Belinda was using "Billy's Back-UP" and I was using the "Electric Chicken"
All fish were caught in 3 fow, setting the jig about 2' below the bobber. Also noted that all the fish were in water that was 61.5 degrees. We found a couple of areas where the water was a lot warmer, but the fish just weren't in it.
I knew I could have moved the boat out to 8-12 fow right out from where we were catching them, but just watching and listening to Belinda having a blast was rewards enough
We ended up with 26 by my clicker counter, but only two fish were females
All fish were released to finish their ritual
Sorry for the delay of this post, a lot of things going on here at the Box household, that will mean some big changes for both us & Thermocline Lures - all to be revealed in due time - It's all good
