BaffinBaY, pretty sure everyone is aware of that, my point was it did not rain where everyone has been fishing, the banks will be dry for the walk to fish.

Think about it. It wouldn't have to rain for the banks to get muddy. Haven't been down there to check myself, but I have enough common sense to know if the creek level went up, the water up the bank went up. Therefore muddy banks. JMTC.

I've never seen a forum where more people get their feelings hurt. I was just trying to help as well, and like always someone had to take offense and cry. It's going to be ok buddy. You'll make it through this. (The mud I mean).

Find the shad, you'll find the hybrids...

The timing for them to be there is pretty close...

No. The high water column will elongate as it travels down to where there is less water, and will be lower. It will also be lower as the creek widens.

The gauge is in Sachse. As this is after the last sinuous channel change and where Rowlett Creek is pretty much a straight shot into Hubbard, "it is liable to produce changes shoals and raise the flood-level in the channel just below its termination." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/River_engineering

I would surmise that 11' in Sachse would be pretty darn close to 11' at Miller. IMO

Well that would make sense if it was measured pretty far south. I didn't know where it was measured. It's a pretty long creek. What part of Sachse does it run through? I thought it went through Garland, Richardson, and into Plano and then McKinney from there. What's the nearest cross street to the gauge?
