Hey!
I normally fish ray roberts. But last week, I decided to give lewisville a try. I've fished twice out of Pilot Knoll and stayed west of the I35 bridge. Does anyone have some advice of spots to fish? Bait to use? And any areas to avoid scratching the gel coat?

Thank you for the help. If it ever warms up Ill try that. I found those humps NW of the bridge. Some of them are still under water, but we need some more rain and less snow!

Went out all day today. Got skunked. I am new to the lake so maybe I just don't know what I am doing yet, but I tried hard! Lake temp was avg 56-58. Still murky, especially west of the 35 bridge. Let me know if you find anything! Good luck.

He is right, there are reports of dead fish on 380 side of Lewisville. Went today on the Hickory Creek side and only caught a drum to avoid a complete skunk. crazy

I called a Denton county game warden today. He told me the kill zone is very localized to the 380 area. he said if you go inland further or towards the lake the fish are fine. He told me they are still waiting for the Biologists to finish their report, but initially they cant find a reason. he said they are suspecting the heavy rain on the weekend washed something in and is now gone. he said there is no industry up river or sewage treatment in the area. he said they think round up from the near by neighbor hood washed in with the rain . ???

Thanks for the report Darrell!

I walked around the bank a few miles south of the 380 bridge today where the lake opens up and no sign of fish dying. I didn't expect to see any, but thankful non-the-less! I'm guessing it is not roundup since it killed a bunch of full grown turtles (no gills) and since the algae seemed to be flourishing. I hope the biologist come back with something definitive.

As far as sewage treatment, there is an outflow but it's about 1 mile above the bridge.
