Anyone ever tryed taking a gopro video of underwater footage after seeing a big school of fish on your graph? Im going to give it a shot. Theres so many times when i see a huge school of fish under the boat wondering what exactly they are or how dense they really are in comparison to what it looks like on the graph. Ill post my results later.

I look forward to seeing it. Which lake are you going to test it on? I've thought about buying one of those cheap underwater cameras with the little tv screen, but figured the water would be too muddy a lot of places I fish.

There is a television program that does just that

professional underwater camera, and speaker system.
In there early programs, they used a humminbird side scan fish finder (998 I believe).

I have 5 underwater camera's, and I have been playing with trying
to record underwater and see what my fish finder is displaying (except for the
GoPro, the other camera's are rated to around 15'). I took a 10' piece of pvc,
and an end cap (starting inside), I tapped a 1/4 x 20 thread, then screwed in
a 3/4 inch long - 1/4 x 20 bolt. This is the same thread found in most camera
mounts (you have to purchase the screw type mount separate for the
gopro).

Waiting for the water to clear up.
I recently tried to record under the boat on Texoma, and the water is too green.
I am going to try and record on Lake Murray (Oklahoma), as the water is very clear
(reason why we dive there).
