How would you spend $3000 if I gave it to you and said you had to spend it on kayak(s) or gear for the kayak. No cars or things like that. For example, you could get a Pescador and outfit it with a Lowrance HDS7 Touch Gen 2 and a new paddle.

So, whatcha spending the loot on?

Right now I'd probably go with a Slayer Propel and the biggest HB SI that would fit.

Cruz raptor, T.M with registration ...then a regular academy paddle, with a fish finder being the last of the money.

Probably something with better seat and faster than my pescador. Good PFD. Even better paddle. Fishfinder no doubt but not sure which one. If rods/reels count, a couple of Falcon bucoos with Daiwa Tatula R's

Nucanoe Frontier 12 $1000
Lowrance HDS 5 Gen2/LSS combo bundle $900

I'll have some $1100 left over for registration (already have a TM), park pass, and private lake annual membership

Without having paddled the newest models I have no idea. From just the hull specs, the Wilderness Tarpon 140 and the Native Manta Ray 14 would fit the bill.

From a pure asthetics standpoint the Jackson Cuda 14, though I wished it weren't so wide. Their custom colors might make me think paddling ease isn't so important. The deck height of only 11 inches is a winner if that is correct. I like low wind profile. I'm not sure but thought I read where Wilderness might be doing custom colors as well.

I'd have to get at least one RTM Disco for a friend tag along kayak. Never had such great response from my lady friends that tried kayaking for the first time and loved it. Not a great fishing kayak but incredible for paddling or maybe just taking one rod. I'm still kicking myself for selling it. Probably only around $700 range these days.

So I spend around $900 for RTM Disco with upgraded seat. Got $2000 left for one of the above kayaks mentioned earlier. Figure $1200 for bare boat, another couple hundred for upgraded seat. I have plenty of pfds and paddles...just throw in the new Lowrance Elite 4 hd and I'm set for life. Unless I got the urge to blow the whole $3000 on the one below. rolfmao

I'd buy the Manta Ray 12 on the classified section. $900
I'd order a Humminbird 998si HD from Shut up & fish $1100
The remaing $1000 would go for a rail mount, ram mount, a good set of waders, a great paddle, lot's of tackle fron various vendors and the rod & reel I have been trying to talk my wife into letting me buy.

I would buy my wife a Hobie Outback or Native Slayer and with the money left I would add a fish finder.
