The Ray Hubbard Bass Cub will be having our second tournament of the year Saturday March 8th on Lake Bob Sandlin. Here is the information -

• When: Saturday, March 8th
• Where: Titus Ramp** (This is subject to change)
• Time: 7:00 AM - 3:00PM
• Registration: 6:00 AM - 6:45 AM
• Entry Fee: $60.00 per boat – 2 person maximum

You MUST be an RHBC member to fish this tournament. We do not accept membership at the launch ramp, so if you want to fish this one, you will have needed to join the Club at our meeting Thursday at BPS Garland. Here is a link to the meeting information.
http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/9792065/Re:_RHBC_Monthly_Meeting!_Thus#Post9792065

Registration will be at the ramp starting at 6:00 on Saturday morning. No lines in the water until 7:00. When you register you will be given a numbered domino and receipt. You will need to turn in the domino to get your fish weighed. There will be a 30 minute dead water period where no fishing is allowed at the end of the day. This is to give members time to get off the water, and the TD time to get the weigh in set up. The chip must be back in the bucket by 3:30 and weigh in will start then. See you at the ramp! Check back to this post Thursday night as we will discuss a possible ramp change at the meeting!

The Club voted at the meeting tonight to change the ramp we are going out of to the State Park ramp. It costs 4 dollars per person to use the State Park so plan accordingly. Registration starts Saturday at 6AM at the State Park. See you there!

Congrats to the local guide James Henderson and his partner on the win and impressive 9.25 pounder! We missed yall by .-. That much! Lol. And congrats to the big bass winner 9.85 ??! Tough day of fishing. Every bite counted! We missed a couple key bites.

Thanks to everyone that came out to Bob Sandlin. We had 34 teams come out a fish. The bite appeared to be better for some than others. The water temp was around 49 degrees when we started and when we finished. At least the cold front that blew in waited until after the tournament. George Dorman and James Henderson won with right around 21 #'s. They had a 9.25 kicker that didn't win big bass. Ronnie Manning and Steve Stroman finished 2nd with 20.5 #'s. Two very impressive sacks on a pretty tough day of fishing. Travis Reaves and Jason Hunnicutt finished third with 13.98 #'s. Dale Rettman and Jeff Garret were 4th with 13.81 #'s. Dale caught a beautiful 9.75 lb bass that won the big bass honors. Let's just say Dale had a very eventful day. If you don't know the story, let's just say it involves a lake, a man getting in the lake in his underwear and then a man catching a fish just shy of 10 lbs. Dale has been nicknamed "The Fish Whisperer". Eric and Evan Vidal finished 5th with 10 and some change. New members Derek Sullivan and Steve Tigert finished 6th and took the last check with just under 9 lbs.

That pretty much wraps up Sandlin. Our next tournament will be the RHBC Open on Hubbard. It's on March 22nd and they should be eating good by then. See you guys in a couple of weeks.

hey, can you guys fix the mis-spelling of my partners name on the website. it has caused some confusion with some chatty kathys that are spreading rumors... which is actually pretty ironic.. LOL! and people wonder on why i am reluctant to fish with anybody and everybody. see you guys at the next one. this one lit a fire in me, that wants to win every dam one of them now.

Steven Stroman

the picture caption has him listed as

2rd Place - 20.51 lbs
Dean Stroman & Ronnie Manning

Dean has a guide service and is not who Ronnie fished with..

I had a great time. It was fun seeing a bunch of guys Friday night. That's what a club is all about! I look forward to our tournaments every month.

Henderson guides on Sandlin? I have only heard of him guiding on Fork.

The real question is, would this even been an issue if he had not won? I have only met the man once, so I am not "on his side". Wouldn't the correct time to have addressed this issue have been before the tournament?

I heard he isn't allowed to fish Cypress. The really only loser is his partner!

I saw him at the first meeting and I knew who he was and that he was or is a guide and I know a lot of others also saw him join and knew who he was, so I ask again.

If he doesn't win last Saturday, is this an issue???
