Looking at buying a few rods and wanted to see what everyone thought of my current choices.. I'm looking at either castaway skeleton rods or power tackle. Thoughts and concerns are appreciated..

The split handle grip behind the reel on the Skeleton is a little short for my hand but I do not palm the reel when I fish.

I absolutely love my power tackle rods. They hold up to constant abuse here on Falcon. Wonderful people too! Once you speak with Judy or Tim, you feel like you have been lifelong friends. Integrity through and through.

If I had the money to spend I would go with power tackle. Excellent people and solid rods.

I'll admit I haven't messed with the Skeleton's... but I'd buy some PT's and wouldn't look back! They're pricey for sure, but there's a lot of bang in that buck and they're durable as many others can attest to...

Depends on what you want to spend. I have a bunch of skeletons and think they are great for the price. Really like the extreme deep diver for 10xds. If you decide to get some go to the factory in person.

Haven't used Power Tackle but I do have six of the Castaway Skeleton rods. A 10XD, DD22, Spinnerbait Special, Heavy Worm, Grass Master Braid, and Medium Heavy Mag. I like all of them. Went to the factory when I was at Conroe. Very nice people and willing to answer all of your questions.
Castaway has come out with a new rod that is a little more pricey but is so light and feels great in the hands. Forgot what they named this series though.
NO, I am not a pro anything for them. Just a satisfied customer.

Power Tackle is the best rod I have ever owned. I have bought so many rods with that regretful feeling afterwards. Seriously I have had nothing like them.

Invicta is the new carbon blank from castaway. Also has tour star grips. Amazing rod!

Got the skeletons and paragon Power Tackle rods and I like Power Tackle better. Both are great rods just Power Tackle is my preference.

Yeah those 2 choices are not even in the same category! Tim and Judy provide top notch customer service and PT rods are unbeleivable, try one and you will decide for yourself.
