Well I had a chance to take the boat out today but only for a couple of hours. First off I realized right away that I'm going to buy, or build some sort of cart. I can carry it to the water on my own but would rather roll it.
Secondly this thing is super stable. In the couple of kayaks I've paddled in the past I couldn't stand in them. Well I stood in this thing first try no problem.
Honestly it is slow, but it's not that slow. I think with the right paddle I could come close to the speed of a Ride 135. But I didn't buy it to paddle fast. I knew it would be slow.
I'd say the biggest complaint I have is there is so much real estate, is sort of noise when moving around or setting stuff down but, seadek is about to start making a kit for it. I think with that kit or some sort of sts it will be fine. Other than that I'm not crazy about the ram tubes or whatever there called. They are too shallow for everyone of my rods.
I'm paddling it with a loner 250 cm low angle paddle and it does OK but I think once I get a bigger bladed paddle it will be a lot better.

Anyhow if someone would like to give it a try just let me know and I can try and meet up at a local lake and let you give it a go.

You might have to "let" it fall out on the hiway

Be interesting how it handles in the wind. Bigger and wider is going to be effected by the wind either sitting still or paddled.

Just one more cast!

Nice looking kayak. Should make a great one for fishing out of. I don't any speed getting from point a to b. Heck it took me over 62 years to get where I am at now. Slow, steady and enjoying it all.

I'll update when I get it out in the wind, but the little bit of wind I had when I paddled it felt about the same as the ride I had. I fished in the high seat so that didn't help either.
