I have sorta been put in charge of coming up with some good, but moderately priced restaurants for our mini-family reunion next month in Rockport. Is the Copano Bay Cafe anything like the old "Back 40" ? K-Bob's is already on my list. Sure would appreciate some more suggestions.
thanks,
Roger

I really like The Boiling Pot. Not everyone likes semi-spicy food though. It's a shrimp boil. You get shrimp, sausage, potatoes and corn on the cob. You can order crab legs too for extra $$.

My wife & I like to do the boiling pot..food is good, very casual, but some members of the family feel it is too casual. Hard to please everyone.

That' fine. I can't help you out with any restaurants other than real casual, shorts, t-shirts and sandals, lol. I never pack anything else for my trips there!

You might try Charlotte Plummers, it has always been good in the past.

k-bobs is a chain that is in multiple states and is in no way a true reflection of what rockport food is. i would avoid that place and try anywhere else.

start with:
shempys
jd's (BYOB)
and Alby's for a oyster/shrimp combo po-boy

must try:
panjos for pizza
taqueria puerto vallarta for breakfast

if you have to... eat at:
charlotte plumbers
boiling pot

for fancier food:
glow
latitudes
