Did anyone go out there today? On the TPWD website it says they stocked trout today. Anyone have any luck?

from past experience it has seemed that the fish need a couple days to get comfortable ...don't think that eating is on their mind after traveling for hours in a truck and getting dumped in new waters..just my 2 cents
My truck won't start if my rod is not in it!

I fished Northwest Pond the day they stocked it and C&R'd 24 trout. Went back the next day and went around the pond in 3 hours. No strikes. Went back 2 days later and fished 1 hour. No strikes. The ponds where there are many cormorants are not fishing well. Hurst Chisholm Park has at least 50 birds and when TPWD drops 400 trout each time, the hand writing is on the wall. The ponds where cormorants are few or none I've taken as many as 79 trout in several hours of fishing. I primarily use super dupers, panther martins and sometimes a float and fly rig.

2 hours! 2 hours That's all you need for trouts start to bite after the release. If you wait for 2 days, there's nothing left for you to catch at northwest Park.
